Hump Yard

How to build a Hump Yard in Rail3D

  • Build a yard with suitable hump,gradient and points.
  • Add a "Splitter" features just over the hump:   the splitter cuts wagons off the train without stopping the train

You need Rail3D 108.0.2 or later for this to work.

There are still some aspects that are not perfect, but it basically works

  • The shunt feature at the bottom of the slope, ensures that wagons couple up to each other in the sidings.
